Holly Kuzmiak-Ngiam

Holly is an American by birth, a Singaporean by residency, and a science-lover by education. After obtaining a PhD in Biochemistry, she had an “early midlife crisis”, and left research to work as a running coach in 2012.

As her life expanded - kids, kettlebells, a brick & mortar studio - she broadened her movement interests and education. She now holds certifications in strength training, run coaching, pilates, yoga, Schwinn® indoor cycling, Pregnancy & Postpartum Athleticism, and Roll Model® Method myofascial release.

Holly integrates many movement modalities into customized, creative programming to empower clients to reach their movement goals. She specializes in working with endurance athletes, folks managing injuries or chronic health conditions, and anyone with pelvic health considerations (including pregnant and postpartum people).

When she’s not on the trails, leading classes or working with clients, you’ll find her in the kitchen, on the playground, or seeking out a strong cup of Kopi C.

After dipping in and out of yoga for more than a decade, a serious injury led Jennifer towards a more consistent practice in 2013. She soon realised yoga was good for more than just injury rehabilitation, and in 2016 she took her first yoga teacher training.

No matter what modality she’s teaching, Jennifer is truly an educator at heart, with 14 years of experience in childhood education and 12 years teaching movement. Her interests in yoga, movement and rest have led her to train with the likes of Judith Hanson Lasater, Dr Nicholas Romanov, Jason Crandell, Carl Paoli, Sean Haleen, Dianne Bondy, Amber Karnes and Jean Byrne.

Jen’s classes at Movement Labs are yoga- or strength-based, but seamlessly integrate a variety of methodologies, including Functional Range Conditioning and Feldenkrais. She specialises in helping people break down common barriers to starting movement practices - her sessions are ideal for those who wants to learn to lift weights, join a yoga practice that doesn’t require flexibility, and/or practice strategies for stress management and relaxation.

Jennifer believes that everyone has the right to move with joy, and to experience the magic of slowing down. As much as she can at this point in her journey, she aims to guide students through an intersectional, accessible and inclusive lens.
